Step 1	Either type in your postcode or click down through the maps to find the area you are interested in.
Step 2	Choose a crime type from the drop down menu ‘Which crime type would you like to see?’. The map will then change to display the frequency and location of this crime type in the last month in your area.
Step 3	Click on ‘As a chart showing trends over time’ underneath the crime types menu to check police performance in your local area for this crime type. The map display will change to show a chart containing monthly crime figures for the last two years.
Step 4	Click back onto the ‘Displayed as a map’ option and use the zoom bar next the map to see the picture of crime at divisional and district level too.
Step 5	At any time, use the ‘Which crime type would you like to see’ drop down menu to see the picture of crime for each of the different crime types available.
Step 6	At any time, click on the 'What Can I Do About Crime in My Area?' link to access advice and information about how to protect yourself and others from being a victim of crime.
